1.The Barber of Seville at Teatro Colon

Things to do in Buenos Aires: Barber of Seville at Teatro ColonAs its tradition states, Teatro Colón if very famous for its representation of classic masterpieces. This year, is The Barber of Seville´s turn, based on the comedy written by Beaumarchais, with music by Gioachino Rossini. This iconic and hilarious musical is directed by Mauricio Wainrot, an expert in choreography and contemporary dance, who is venturing in this genre for the first time.

2.Art exhibition at Museo Colección Fortabat

Starting its 2014 season, this modern museum presents three simultaneous, yet very different exhibitions. You can visit “Alicia en el País de las Maravillas” for a glance of contemporary art by Pat Andrea. The second exhbit is a journey throughout American cities in “Ciudades de América”, a photography showcase. Or learn about the history and future of local fashion in “Universos de Moda”

3. International Jazz Day Día at Usina del Arte

 Things to do in Buenos Aires: Jazz International Day at Usina del Arte

Buenos Aires joins the celebration of UNESCO´s International Jazz Day, with an outstanding show at Usina del Arte. It is directed by Adrian Iaies – local pianist and artistic director of Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival. Three bands will show different shades of this widespread rhythm. It is a great opportunity to enjoy some of the jazz styles found in the local scene.

4.Tango show at Centro Cultural Torquato Tasso

Things to do in Buenos Aires: Rodolfo Mederos at Centro Cultural Torquato Tasso

It´s been nearly ten years since its first performance, but Rodolfo Medero´s band sounds just as good –or even better- as the first time. The enthusiasm and passion for this music, that the orchestra transmits, is a perfect way to immerse yourself in the amazing Tango world. This time, the guest singer will be “El Negro” Falótico, a young prodigy with a perfect intonation and velvet voice.

5. Art exhibition at Centro Cultural Recoleta

Romulo Macció is an extraordinary Argentinean painter, distinguished for his unique sense of space and conception. Although his work isn’t a part of any classic art movement, it can be catalogued as abstract. Of all the things to do in Buenos Aires, we highly recommend that you take a look at his best work on display at Centro Cultural Recoleta.

6.Buenos Aires International Book Fair

Things to do in Buenos Aires: Book Fair

This is the second week of the 40th edition of the expo. We recommend at least a quick visit, you  will fin great deals in books and really intersting conferences by famous writters! The venue, as usual is La Rural, which is really close from Palo Santo Hotel.
