1 – Arte BA Art Fair

ArteBa is one of the main art fair of Latinamerica. It gathers over 500 artists and 100.000 visitors each year. The fair is built around several programs: young curators competition, acquisition program destined to museums and galleries, Proargentina networking program for artists. For art amateurs, it is an opportunity to take a glimpse at contemporary art creation and art marketplace.

The fair takes place at La Rural exhibition center, only 10 blocks away from Palo Santo Hotel.

2- Feria Puro Diseño – Argentinean Design at La Rural

Argentinean Design: Puro Diseño Fair

From May 20th to May 25th, Feria Pura Diseño exhibits the works of over 400 Argentinean designers. Small objects, furniture, apparel and children’s accessories will be presented.

3- Buenos Aires Market: Organic Products Market in Palermo

Buenos Aires Market

Once or twice a month, over a weekend, Buenos Aires Market gathers organic food producers and resellers in an open fair. This week, the fair will take place in Parque Las Heras, in Palermo. There is no entrance fee.

Visitors will find around 60 food stands, were they can buy spices, dairy products, flours, breads, snacks, dried fruits, cheeses, among others. Some places sell prepared meals so attendees can have lunch at the fair.

4- Belgrano Cultural Walking Tour

Belgrano R - A posh residencial area in Buenos Aires

Eternautas is a travel agency that specializes in historical and cultural tours. Every weekend they offer some interesting walking tours to discover an area of Buenos Aires, at a very affordable rate. Tours are in Spanish. Tour guides are always well-informed and will share interesting facts and insights about architecture and Buenos Aires history.

This week, Eternautas offer a two-hour tour of Belgrano area. The neighborhood used to be a separate village with its one main square, church and quintas. Discover the beauties of remaining neo-colonial and modernist mansions.

5- Fuerza Bruta Show at Centro Cultural Recoleta

Be part of an experimental theater show. Fuerza Bruta is an Argentinean theater company that was created in 2003. They developed a unique kind of show, where spectators are invited to interact with the performers. It is described as a 360 degrees experience.

The show has experienced an impressive success around the world: over half a million people have seen it in Manhattan only.
